Lacrosse in Israel

Israel won the 2025 European Championship in Wrocław — defeating Italy 9–8 in the final — and is ranked #7 in the world and #1 in Europe. The Daniel Kraft Family National Lacrosse Center in Netanya is the only dedicated lacrosse facility outside North America.

The Israel Lacrosse Scene

Israel joined the European Lacrosse Federation in 2011 and has grown into the continent’s leading lacrosse power. At the 2025 European Championship in Wrocław, Israel’s men’s national team won gold — defeating Italy 9–8 in the final after a flawless 4–0 pool stage, a quarterfinal win over Czech Republic (8–7) and a semifinal win over England (8–6). That result confirmed Israel as the #1 ranked team in Europe and #7 in the world.

The infrastructure behind Israel’s programme is singular: the Daniel Kraft Family National Lacrosse Center in Netanya is the only dedicated lacrosse facility outside North America. With 6 clubs and activity across field, box and Sixes formats, Israel’s programme has genuine depth across disciplines. In box lacrosse specifically, Israel won the inaugural European Box Lacrosse Championship in 2017, defeating Czech Republic 8–7 in the final, and currently ranks #5 in the world.

Israel’s women’s national team is also among Europe’s strongest: ranked #6 in the world and #2 in Europe. The combination of gold in field, a dedicated national facility, and top-five world rankings in box makes Israel one of the most complete lacrosse programmes on the continent — and a programme any serious follower of European lacrosse needs to know.
