Lacrosse in Ukraine

Ukraine joined the ELF in 2018 and has persisted through displacement and reconstruction. Both national teams competed at the 2025 European Championship in Wrocław.

The Ukraine Lacrosse Scene

Ukraine joined the ELF in 2018 and built a developing lacrosse programme before the February 2022 Russian invasion disrupted training and displaced players across Europe. Despite the war, the national programme has persisted.

In 2025, both national teams competed at the European Championship in Wrocław. The UNDP adaptive sports training in Kyiv (March 2025) introduced lacrosse to war-affected youth, while the Athletes for Ukraine coalition has used sport as a platform for solidarity and peace.
